Singer Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony have allied with ‘American Idol’ creator Simon Fuller to develop a TV contest in Spanish with which they hope to discover new talent in Latin America, The Hollywood Reporter said on Thursday.
Under the provisional title of ‘Que Viva’, the show would concentrate on finding artists unknown by the general public but with outstanding musical ability, similar to productions like Spain ‘Operacion Triunfo’ and, of course, ‘American Idol’.
The project has not yet been finalised, according to reports published here.
Lopez is currently on the jury of ‘American Idol’ in the US, with a contract for one season only. Up to now she has refused to comment on whether she will continue for an additional season or not.(IANS)
