India Tremendous Performance Cricket World Cup 2011

Congrats every one we won the cricket world cup 2011 on an immortal day at a sweltering Wankhede Stadium that was a sea of emotions, India kept its date with history.
Displaying belief and character, Mahendra Sings Dhoni  men overcame Sri Lanka by six wickets in a gripping final of ICC World Cup here on Saturday.

Gautam Gambhir (97) and skipper Dhoni (91 not out) orchestrated a remarkable Indian comeback after Lasith Malinga had fired out the openers.

Dhoni and Gambhir lead India to World Cup glory.

"Cheering and screaming fans on mobikes, cars, whatever mode of travel, the Indian tricolour waving in their excited hands, horns blowing the entire city has come alive! What an atmosphere! Hadn’t seen this in a long time!" posted Big B in his blog on Wednesday. And now he wants a re-run of the same on Saturday night.

"For most Indians, and I am sure for our neighbours too, the semi-final match was in many respects the final. It always is when our two countries play. Congratulations then to (M.S.) Dhoni team and wishing you the very best for the April 2 (final) at the Wankhede Stadium," he added.

The India-Pakistan showdown in Mohali was witnessed by quite a few Bollywood celebrities like Aamir Venkatesh, Rajinikanth, Khan, Kiran Rao, Preity Zinta, Vivek Oberoi and Suneil Shetty. The 68-year-old Bachchan, however, missed the action as he was busy shooting for his film "Buddah", but was delighted to see how the people celebrated the win and is now waiting for the same to happen again today.
