Puja Gupta was the winner of Miss India Universe in 2007. She later went to Mexico to participate at Miss Universe 2007. Wearing a gunmetal gown with Mongol inspired beadwork designed by Hemant Trivedi, Puja reached the top ten finishing in 9th place.
