John Abraham got badly injured while shooting for Vipul Shah’s Force recently, but went on to finish the shot.
While jumping from one moving train to another, John lost balance and injured his back badly last week.
"We had taken all the required precautions but when one does an action sequence, he or she can get hurt due to one simple mistake. We had asked John if he really wanted to do the action shot… we had offered a duplicate. But he insisted he would do it himself," Vipul told PTI.
Force, an action thriller, is a remake of the hit Tamil film Khakha Khakha. It is directed by Nishikant Kamat of Mumbai Mari Jaan fame. The film, that stars John and Genelia, is about a dutiful cop who chases a dreaded gangster.
While doing the sequence, John was supposed to land on his feet but he fell on his back inside the train compartment, which was full of stones, said Vipul.
This is the second time the 38-year-old actor got injured on the sets of Force. He is to take part in another action sequence that will be shot soon in Mumbai, said the director.
Force is slated for a July release.(PTI)
