In real, Deepika might or might not be drinking but she played a drunk gal in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ in one of the scene. Though the final shot was superb, it has got a funny incident associated to it. Deepika was drunk and totally out of control. She was dancing and was in upbeat mood in a dhabha on the highway. She climbed a table and while shaking her legs, she irresponsibly fell into Saif Ali Khan’s arm.
The story doesn’t end here. In another take, Deepika was to fall on Saif’s arm with her back but instead fell off the table which was at a height of 6-7 feet from the ground level. Director Imtiaz Ali and the other crew members was a bit worried but felt relaxed when Saif acted spontaneously and took hold of Deepika’s clothes and both tumbled off the platform together, unhurt.
In spite of the pain, Deepika Padukone laughed off the matter and carried on with her shots and gave a perfect shot.
